About
I started as an intern in 2020, automating invoice processing for Burkina Faso’s national electricity company. The software I built there is still in production. That set the tone for everything since: I build things that keep running after I leave the room.
Today I lead development at DOKAL-Africa. The flagship is Yembi, a mobile money tracker that parses operator SMS into structured finances. I was its only engineer from the first commit through the March 2026 launch (app, backend, admin portal, Play Store listing), and I now lead the small team growing it. Before Yembi came Dokal Pay, the company’s first payment app, plus banking intranets for CORIS Bank International, the World Bank financed FONGAB platform, and USSD services.
On the side I build BetPay, a SaaS that automates deposits and withdrawals between mobile money and betting platforms. The next version runs on a phone farm.
My specialty is the gap between "works in the demo" and "works in Ouagadougou": 2G networks, SMS as the only API, multi-SIM phones, power cuts, users who have never seen an onboarding flow. Offline-first is the requirement here, not a feature.
I work in French and English, write about engineering in both, and mentor developers entering the field in Francophone Africa. Alongside engineering, I’ve done long-term French localization work for an international tech product since 2022, which keeps the bilingual, cross-border muscle sharp.
